SERVICE DESCRIPTION

As a member of this team, you will work alongside many other ministries. You will move supplies from the storage room to the areas where they are needed, including the kitchen, stage, AV table, classrooms, and parking lot. You will also set up tables for the ministry teams to utilize and chairs for the congregation. Set-up is usually completed by 4:30, allowing you time to hang out and socialize before church or to run home for the family.

After the sermon concludes, you are responsible to make sure all of the supplies are returned to their home in the storage room. You will take down and put away tables and stage equipment. You will vacuum rugs, sweep the floors, spot-mop, and take out the garbage. The congregation is great to jump in and help out to lighten the clean-up load; however, you will need to make sure supplies are being put into the proper places.

While a more labor-intensive area of ministry, the portion of set-up you are signing up for is not very specialized. There are checklists and visual manuals available for your reference, and it requires very little training. You never miss a sermon, and are truly able to be present mentally for the teaching. During set-up, you are able to choose whether you want chat with your teammates while you work or jam out with your headphones on.

This ministry is one of the most vital to the functionality of the church. Every person who walks in our doors is blessed by the labor of their hands.
